Welcome back Parents to our Monthly Newsletter. We have some fun and exciting things to share with you and your children in February.

The Little House

In January we had so much fun talking about what lives on a Farm. In February we will be talking about good dental health and how to keep our teeth clean. We will also talk about Valentine’s Day and what love means to us.

We will be introducing the letters Tt, Vv and Xx. We will be learning the numbers 16, 17, 18 and count to 70. The colors are pink, lavender and magenta. The shapes are heart and rhombus. For Science we will learn about Dental Health and our teeth. In Social Studies we will learn about how to be a good friend, Rosa Parks and Presidents Day. Our opposites are big and little. Our virtue is Love. Our sight words are come, here, I. We are also working on recognizing our first and last names, spelling our names, tracing them and writing them.

Our cooking skill for February is Mixing. We will learn how to properly mix ingredients when cooking and baking.

Our Valentine’s Spirit Week is from Monday, February 14th to Friday, February 18th:

THURSDAY 2/17 – DISNEY THURSDAY

– BRING YOUR DISNEY GEAR

FRIDAY 2/18 – COMFY COZY

– PJS AND ANY COZY COMFORT GOES

We will have a Valentine exchange on Monday 12/14. Please bring 14 Valentine’s Cards with your child’s name on them. We will help them pass their Valentine’s out to their friends. We will also have a sign up posted for ice cream sundaes. Please sign up for one item to bring. Don’t forget to wear Red and Pink.

We will be closed on Monday, February 21st for President’s Day.

The Bungalow School Age Kids

February is here! A month full of love and cheer! We kick off the month with beautiful and fun crafts for friends and family. We welcome Valentine’s Day week with a Monday full of love, a celebration with Valentine exchanges and ice cream sundaes, which starts off our spirit week. Encourage your child/children to participate in the spirit week dress, as this will win them some fun prizes!
